Fans have had plenty of time to get used to Shakira's new singles, "She Wolf" and "Give It Up," and now it's finally almost time to hear what she has in store for the full album when She Wolf comes out on November 23. Shakira has already said this her most electronic music to date, and she also kept the ethnic fusion sound going with the help of producers like The Neptunes and Wyclef Jean.

"[Pharrell] was very open," Shakira told MTV News. "He's a very smart guy. He gets me. He understands what I'm about, what I stand for musically and artistically. He knows that I like to combine influences from different worlds and make them coexist under the same roof. I like to experiment and see how all these things can survive within a Pop record, and working with Pharrell is a great experience."

As far as working with Wyclef, the pair went in a different direction this time, rather than trying to recreate "Hips Don't Lie." Their new collaboration, "Spy," is a dark, retro, disco track.

"We hung out in Bahamas, which is where I live. After a few days searching, looking for different inspirational sources, we got to 'Spy,' which is a different direction for both of us," she said. "But we instantly recognized the value of the song. It's definitely different. It's sexy in its own way."

As for her lyrical content, Shakira explained that the album was written from a very feminine perspective. "I think maybe because I feel more like a woman today, I guess this album contains a lot of the emotions that a woman experiences when you're in love or out of love — jealousy, fantasies, daydreams," she said. "I even spoke a little about friends of mine — girlfriends of mine — that I see struggling with their own romantic lives... how hard it is for girls to find the right guy."

John Mayer is complicated, y'all. On his fourth studio album, "Battle Studies" (Columbia), Mayer can be brilliant - as he is on the fiery, funked-up reimagining of Robert Johnson's "Crossroads"-as-"Innervisions"-era Stevie Wonder, and on the epic breakup tale "Friends, Lovers or Nothing." He also can be annoyingly melodramatic, as he is on the ridiculous "Assassin" and on the tepid "War of My Life." He charms with Taylor Swift on "Half of My Heart" and bores on the repetitive, precious "Do You Know Me." "Battle" is hard to fight through, but, to Mayer's credit, he doesn't seem to care.

New Moon's soundtrack comprises songs that are all original and exclusive to the soundtrack and are performed by various indie rock and alternative rock artists. New Moon director Chris Weitz stated that the soundtrack would feature songs from Radiohead, Muse, and Band of Skulls. Death Cab for Cutie contributes the soundtrack's lead single, a song written specifically for the film called "Meet Me on the Equinox", which debuted September 13 during the MTV Video Music Awards. Bassist Nick Harmer says, "We wrote 'Meet Me On the Equinox' to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the Twilight series and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters." The English rock band Muse contributes a remix of their song "I Belong to You", which appears in its original form on their 2009 album The Resistance. St. Vincent collaborated with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon to create a song called "Rosyln". When describing the song, she said, "[Justin] sings in his beautiful falsetto and I'm actually singing very, very low... I think there's something vampirey and creepy about the two of us singing together. It's a simple, stripped-down kind of song." Mexican Grammy and Latin Grammy nominee Ximena SariƱana will be featured in the Latin American version of the soundtrack, with the song "Frente al Mar" ("In front of the Sea"). The soundtrack, which was chosen by music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, will be released on October 16, 2009 by Chop Shop Records in conjunction with Atlantic Records.

Besides, this album will also include a live version of "Before the Storm", a duet song between Miley and Jonas Brothers. Other songs in the effort include "Kicking and Screaming", "When I Look at You" and "Obsessed".
